Looking in one direction (back towards the city of Como), the street is very quiet and becomes very residential.
Looking the other direction, we can see the shops and business district.
Let's explore the residential area a little. This is looking down one of the streets that leads back down to Lake Como.
A local church...
The estate of a resident.
Now let's head down into the business district. This looks down another sidestreet.
We are now back in the business district on Via Guiseppe Garibaldi.
Another side street. We didn't stay here long as we appeared to be disturbing an intimate moment with the couple, but I did take one photo. What always strikes me about this photo: this is probably exactly what Herculaneum and Pompeii looked like 2000 years ago. Considering Herculaneum was a waterfront resort town, I would imagine that Bellagio fills much of the same role in modern Italy. History lives!
There are some sections where quite a few people congregate.
Like much of Italy and especially Amalfi, cars mingle with people on a regular basis. The street is the sidewalk, and vice versa.
A shop along Via Guiseppe Garibaldi.
Yours truly, with Lake Como behind me.
