AI Generated Music Video

Most AI generated artifacts that I've seen - music, documents, etc - has been pretty poor.

But this is excellent!  I really enjoyed it!  Note AI generated the visual, not the song or lyrics.

The Wine Menu This Month

What are we serving at our house this month!  A few old favorites, a few new favorites, and something new! All Sauvignon Blancs.

Joel Gott and Seaglass are our favorite nightcaps so they are almost always found in our cooler.

I recently discovered 19 Crimes and love it - this is probably my fifth bottle.  I admit I bought the first bottle as a novelty but found it is really good.

My wife recently discovered Grand Sud and she loves it - probably the fifth bottle for her also.

And we haven't tried Ryer Estate yet - we'll let you know how it goes!

They opened up a Total Wine close to our house recently and we've been like a kid in a candy store.  Here is what we bought on our first trip!
A typical shelf in Total Wine.

I discovered the chain when I used to travel to the east coast about 15 years ago and tried to stop in as often as I could while back east.

A typical aisle.

Slowly they've expanded westward and opened a store in Sacramento about 10 years ago.  Since we fly in there regularly, we stopped in when we could.

And now they've made it to San Diego County!  We're all in!
They even have wine tasting classes regularly at a very reasonable price.

Family Dinner Night

Each week we reserve one night to go out to dinner as a family, and we rotate who picks the spot.  This week it was Dave's pick.

He chose Cocina del Charro.

My Favorite Liquor Ad of All Time

About 30 years ago when they still printed newspapers and dinosaurs roamed the earth, I opened up the paper on father's day and came across a half-page Crown Royal ad.  It had advice from fathers and under each piece of advice was the source like "Cindy's Dad" or "Jeff's Dad".  I liked it so much I clipped it out and saved it.  I can no longer find the ad but luckily I did create a Word document of the advice before the clipping was lost.
So I've tried to re-create the ad from the Word document I had saved, only leaving off the source part (Cindy's Dad, Jeff's Dad, etc).

Hope you enjoy.

Our Mustang

I drove our Mustang to a dentist appointment recently and while walking back out to the car, i thought it looked rather good that morning.  So I turned it sideways and took a few photos.
We bought it in Carlsbad in 2006.  It had been on the dealer's lot for almost a year so we got a great deal on it.
My wife drove it to work for many years and it now has 135K miles.
It is now in retirement in our garage and we take it out for a spin whenever we're in the mood to hear that lovely V8.  It is also pretty fun to drive - handles well, decently acceleration, great visibility in all directions, and it feels very light compared to newer cars.  Quite delightful!
