Not quite sure why, but this sure has been the Summer of Music. We've attended more live concerts this summer than any other summer we've lived. Here is Eric Johnson playing at Anthology.
He does very fine guitar work, on par with Eddie Van Halen or probably even closer, Jeff Beck.
But his warm up band, the Michael Williams Band, came dangerously close to showing him up and, if I had to pick, I probably liked the MWB a tad better. More my type of music, played extremely well. EJ was more all about the guitar. Which is fine, but there is more to life...
