Ben Folds and the San Diego Symphony

We had second row center seats to see Ben Folds and the San Diego Symphony at the California Center for the Arts in Escondido.  Excellent performance!

Only complaint:  Show was from 7:30 to 9 PM.  As we exited in the lobby, there was a long curly haired 30 something with a beer in his hand who looked at us and said "That's it???".  I nodded, unfortunately.

David Bowie Tribute

 We went with a few friends to see a David Bowie tribute at Pala Casino - it was excellent!  The event had been scheduled before his passing, but held afterward.  It was packed!

 And a lot of fun.  Great night.

Inland Tavern

We recently discovered that the Penny Lane bar & restaurant had closed a year ago, and had been replaced with a new place called the Inland Tavern.

The food is delicious and on a recent Friday night, they even had a live band playing Mexican Rock.  It was a fun evening!
