Table and chairs for Troy and Teo
I needed to make room for the new car in the garage, so all my wood scraps had to go. Lucy suggested we make a table for the boys. Troy suggested chairs to go along with it, and a Batman theme. Dave and I completed most of the work last weekend, and finished touching up the paint today. Can't wait for Troy and Teo to see it!

Big Daddy Roth
Big Daddy Roth began making custom cars in the 1960s. His vision of cars as a work of art was brilliantly executed to reflect the Southern California car culture. Big Daddy grew up in Beverly Hills before moving around the country awhile, but he ended up back in SoCal where Revell American, the model car company, began paying him a royalty of 1 cent per Big Daddy Roth model they sold in 1963. That first year, he made $32K. Big Daddy died over a decade ago at the age of 69.
Locoweed
Here is something I had never heard of before. Apparently there is a weed that, if eaten, will make horses and other farm-y animals go crazy if they eat it. This woman takes the time to go around her 40 acres and clear it out. She had a fantastic blog, by the way. Her menagerie is mesmerizing.

Ghibli Photo Shoot
As I do every time we buy a car, I drove around the neighborhood with our new Maserati Ghibli for a photo shoot. I had a fresh coat of Zaino on that Grigio Maratea exterior and it was the early morning sun on a beautiful day. We had fun, the car and I.
