Los Lonely Boys was the headliner Friday night at WorldFest, and they really got the place rocking with their superb Tex-Mex rock! Everyone was on their feet by the time they played their hit that reached number one on the charts a few years back.
We have a video of them above.
Los Lonely Boys are three brothers from Texas...here is each of them on the JumboTron.
I really didn't know much about this band, but will be buying some of their music very soon!

Visiting My Dad
I visited my father in Lincoln. He took me out to lunch at the Lincoln Hills golf course...he was gracious enough to pose for a couple of shots for me.
Thanks pop!
Yuna, Matuto, and Matt Anderson at 2014 California WorldFest
Depending on what is going on, sometimes I don't capture many photos of the bands themselves. For some reason, I only took one photo of Yuna and this is it. Yuna plays Malaysian music that blends R&B, folk, electronica, and native Malay sounds.
A WorldFest employee.
Smoke from the food booths wafting through the trees.
A few of the people who were enjoying Yuna.
This little fellow saw my camera and started posing! By the time I realized what he was doing his mother was hauling him away...but I did catch one great shot of the super little guy!
Food booth row.
It didn't come out very clearly, but these two have balls on strings that twirled very poetically.
My beautiful wife.
Matuto plays Appalachian / Afro / Brazilian music that sounded very good to my ears.
We have a video of them playing up above.
Huling to Matuto.
We have heard Matt Anderson before at WorldFest, and looove his music. His voice matches his version of blues perfectly...it is amazing.
Gratuitous shot of a man in a kilt.

Ozomatli at 2014 California WorldFest
Ozomatli plays a fusion of salsa, urban Latino, hip hop, dancehall, samba, fun, R&B, New Orleans second line, and Jamaican and Indian music. They were a lot of fun!
A sample of their sound is in the prior video post.
The hula hoops at night, dancing to Ozomatli.
Even though it was very hard to capture, much of the audience was on their feet dancing.

Sunday with the Family at 2014 California WorldFest
Our son Ron's fiance Mary attended WorldFest on Friday with her brother and his daughter Claire. We arrived about noon and caught up with them. Here are Mary and Nate.
Ron, Mary, Nate, and a glimpse of Claire.

Claire and Mary. It was pretty toasty out in the sun at noon, so Claire wasn't sure she was happy about it all yet.
But the magician started to change her mind. My wife and I had to take off for the airport after this, but we heard that Claire ended up having a great time after she had a bite to eat and got out of the sun....she's a very sweet girl!

The People of 2014 California WorldFest
At one point while listening to Patchy Sanders, I decided to point my camera between two trees and take a photo of every person who walked by on the path behind those trees, just to get a random sample of the People of WorldFest. This post are the people whose photo I captured.
Cabo San Lucas!
I caught Dan DeWayne on the cart! He owns California WorldFest...created the concept and everything.
